吉他之神Eric Clapton早在他開展個人演唱生涯之前，就已是個聞名世界的吉他手；The Yardbirds、Cream、Derek and The Dominos等他曾參與過的樂團同樣在音樂史上留下不可磨滅的亮眼成績，對後輩的影響無遠弗屆。30年前Clapton發行的第二張錄音室大碟【海洋大道】在當時登上美國冠軍與英國Top3，其中由雷鬼傳奇Bob Marley所寫的"I Shot The Sheriff"成為他的第一支冠軍單曲，專輯仍然不脫他最擅長的藍調吉他搖滾與之中混融的流行、鄉村元素。本次經典名盤除將原專輯重新混音之外，還收錄未曾發行的單曲，DISC 2則是他74年在倫敦的現場實況錄音。
